Abstract

by Kevin C. Morris

I look around
The sky is the ground
Down is up, and up is down
I close my eyes
Open them; it's dark
But, I see the sun
My mind is done, can't take this
The sun sets and moon rises
Coming of day brings new surprises
Red seems blue, but blue is green
Birds chirp megaphone
My boom box is locked on softy head explodes
I'm still alive
Blood flies, not red, it seems blue, but is green
It's all screwed up
Then suddenly, it's there
My feet are back upon the ground
Fear descends, along with the moon
Day begins anew
Birds chirp softly, boom box blares
My head's back on, green blood on ground is red
Then, in a coruscate, it's gone and up is down again
